On Site Deep Cleaning
Scobie offers a comprehensive deep cleaning service package, designed to keep your bakery in perfect working order and minimise the likelihood of any equipment faults or breakdowns. Twice a year, our three-man teams will come to your premises and deep clean all your bakery equipment. Each visit will be arranged with the store manager, making sure that production remains uninterrupted throughout - if you usually bake in the morning, we will clean your ovens in the afternoon.
Our standard service and deep clean combines the routine service - carried out to manufacturer's specification and a thorough deep clean. Our experience has shown that customers using individual maintenance and cleaning contractors can experience difficulties in combining the services and in who accepts responsibility when there are issues. Every individual store has a service kit made up which includes all relevant replacement parts for each piece of machinery, we replace all perishable parts including door seals, lamp holder seals and covers, glass retaining bushes, door rollers and oven lamps. All oven functions are rigorously checked and tested with timers and thermostats re-calibrated, we carry out numerous tasks and checks during a routine bakery oven service.
Scobie maintain all types bakery equipment - ovens, mixers, bread plants, dividers, moulders, bread slicers, packaging machines etc. Each unit receives the same vigorous service which briefly includes removing of all covers and panels, full mechanical, electrical and gas (where applicable) service, thorough deep cleaning using steam cleaners, replacement of worn out parts, systems and making adjustments, cleaning of stand and castors, with a final inspection.
ROTISSERIE SERVICE
When our existing clients needed maintenance, servicing and deep cleaning for their rotisserie ovens and hot counters we designed a special service, again to minimise down time in store and carry out all the heavy duty cleaning away at our specialist cleansing department. The service kits supplied for each individual store includes all removable steel components and door glasses which are all supplied on a service exchange basis, we pay attention to detail on all our work but this really shows on the rotisserie equipment with the majority of stores commenting that the ovens look as good as new following a service. The rotisserie operation complemented our existing commitments perfectly as our service engineers were already visiting the same stores to service the bakery equipment therefore we feel we can offer an excellent high quality job at a very competitive price.
BAKERY RACKS AND TRAYS
As part of our commitment to provide a fully inclusive service package we can offer collection/delivery service supplying deep cleaned bakery racks and trays on a service exchange basis to all types of bakeries. We have a separate data base for equipment type and quantities therefore downtime in store is minimal with exact quantities being delivered and returned.
QUALITY
We firmly believe that to ensure standards are met and maintained, a structured quality control procedure must be in place. All Scobie service engineers receive detailed training by us before they are allowed to work in our clients stores, they are constantly appraised, with refresher courses and new equipment training being carried out in our purpose built test kitchen/training centre. We have regular meetings with all engineers present, giving them a clear message of what is expected of individuals and with a clear emphasis on team work and in showing enthusiasm, care and professionalism to our customers. The majority of our work is carried out in our client's stores, therefore we feel that to efficiently manage this workload our management team must regularly visit stores, we employ a service inspector to examine service work. I personally visit stores on a weekly basis, calling unannounced on service engineers to inspect not only the work being carried out but the manner in which it is being undertaken.
